Alyssa & Jesus (Private Beach)
FEATURED WEDDINGS Alyssa & Jesus (Private Beach Wedding)
After getting engaged on February 28th 2015 Alyssa and Jesus started looking for their perfect wedding venue. On May 27th 2015 they contacted Awesome Caribbean Weddings having found the venue and date that they wanted for their wedding; the Private Beach on Tuesday June 7th 2016. They estimated that 35 of their closest family and friends would choose to join in their celebrations with them.
The next day, Fenella sent the couple all of the relevant information about having their wedding on the Private Beach and Alyssa got back to us very soon after receiving it, and very excited at the thought of getting married in Saint Lucia. Two weeks after initially contacting us, and probably a gazillion questions and answers later, Alyssa and Jesus were ready to book their wedding with us.
All throughout the planning process Alyssa was very certain as to what she wanted, there was absolutely no indecisiveness with her decisions. Alyssa was our main contact during that year of planning, and her lovely, bubbly personality came through in all her emails to Fenella… even when the email was a bit lengthy having made many decisions at the same time!
Their numbers went down considerably during the course of the planning, but that didn’t deter them from having the wedding that they had envisioned. Or from spoiling their guests as much as they possibly could.
Whilst Alyssa and Jesus travelled from the airport via helicopter, which we arranged for them, they made sure their guests were collected in comfortable taxis and given sparkling water, tropical juices and beers for the journey.
Fenella met with the couple at their accommodation the day after they arrived so the lawyer could have them sign their marriage license application. She then spent some time with them running through all the details of their wedding day so they had nothing else to think of in the coming days but how to best unwind, relax and make a start on their tans.
On the Saturday they hosted a welcome dinner at The Naked Fisherman and on the Sunday a boat tour to Soufriere. On the Monday, Alyssa had her hair and makeup trials and a manicure and pedicure in her room, before heading out to their rehearsal dinner at a restaurant in Marigot Bay.
The wedding day came and everything was just perfect. Hair and makeup began at 1.00pm and the photographer came to her room at 3.00pm to take getting ready photos. At 4.30pm Alyssa and Jesus got married under their custom designed canopy, which was so beautiful! Alyssa’s bouquet contained white and lavender roses, white cymbidium orchids and white & bi-colour phalaenopsis orchids. These flowers were also used in the canopy displays, the groom’s boutonniere and the aisle displays. The classical violinist played the couple’s chosen romantic tunes, the sea lapped gently at the shore and all the while the photographer and videographer were capturing all these precious moments.
After sparkling wine and photos on the beach, the guests were whisked away to a cocktail reception featuring a solo guitarist to entertain them while the couple took additional photos around the rest of the park. The reception was held at the Cliff at Cap Maison and the table was decorated beautifully to reflect all of their chosen flowers and colours. The after party was held on the roof top terrace of their room at the resort.
“We couldn’t have had a more perfect wedding! You do amazing work, Fenella! Thank you a thousand times!”
Alyssa and Jesus, it was my pleasure assisting you with the planning of your special day. I am very happy that the day turned out to be just what you wanted.
