"We stumbled upon Awesome Caribbean Weddings when we began planning our wedding in 2017. At the time, we were planning a late 2018 wedding. Well life, and hurricanes, happen, and we ultimately pushed our wedding back to summer 2019. Despite delays, complications and a larger than average destination wedding, Michele and the team at ACW provided exemplary service from day 1 through midnight on our wedding day almost 2 years later.
Michele's key skills included organization, responsiveness, detailed communication style, solutions-oriented approach, flexibility and creative mind - all of these were critical to me. For me, having my wedding in St. Lucia meant going home. I wanted an event that honored my roots and family in St. Lucia while also catering to ~80 off island guests from 6 countries. Michele worked with me tirelessly to create an event we are proud of and that our guests are still talking about. I was rarely able to speak during normal work hours - I appreciated Michele's willingness to accommodate me and her ability to handle complicated planning via email. She kept us on schedule and on task and thought of details we never would have addressed. Additionally, Michele and Teige's networks among vendors on the island were also quite extensive and allowed us to source amazing decor items, yummy cakes, and unique favors for our guests.
Decor: Teige executed our vision to perfection, even though we couldn't really articulate the vision at our first meeting. Her detailed approach and brilliantly creative mind was perfect to help guide us to the look we were going for. Like Michele, she is extremely organized and professional. She is creative and pragmatic and knows how to make ideas into reality.
Flowers and Cake: I LOVED our flowers. I wanted local flora and that's what I got. And our bouquets were stunning.
